It’s Amazing What Faith Can Do! It’s Amazing What Faith can Make.
James 5:15 And the Prayer of Faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Recently I found myself praying more than usual for healing
for so many. The pain the people, the beloved of God, are enduring makes me
appreciate the fact that we have more than medicine to turn to in our time of
need. Medicine is necessary, a blessing from God, I believe. But so is the
Prayer of Faith.
Holy Spirit teaches us through James, the brother of
Jesus, that the Prayer of Faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise
him or her up. But God does not limit the Prayer of Faith to healing only. It can
be prayed, and results seen, under any circumstance.
Holy Spirit spoke
these words to me when He gave me the prophecy for this month, the month of Adar1, 5782, in
2021: It’s amazing what faith can do. It’s amazing what faith can make! Mark
11:23-24 were the Victory Verses He gave me for this profound Word. Let us look
at these verses.
Mark 11:23-24(NKJV) Jesus said, For assuredly. I say to
you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and
does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be
done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things
you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Now think again about that Word from Holy Spirit: It’s
amazing what faith can do. It’s amazing what faith can make! Do you see what
faith can do? Faith can move mountains. Faith can change seemingly
insurmountable and unchangeable circumstances, if we would only believe. Faith can do the impossible, see the invisible, and lift us up out of what was sent to
hold us down.
Not only can faith do amazing things, faith can make
things amazing by what faith can make! Faith in God can make us whole again. Faith
can heal the brokenhearted. Faith can bolster our hope. Faith can heal the
sick. Faith and meditating on the promises of God in His Word can make us
victorious and prosperous and cause us to have good success in every area of our
lives. (See Joshua 1:8). Faith is, after all, the substance of all we hope for
and it is the evidence of the things we have not yet seen. (Hebrews 11:1). Faith does not disappoint, the Bible says, because Holy Spirit has been shed abroad
in our hearts. (Romans 5:5). We will never be able to believe God wants to see
us healed, made whole, and living the abundant life Christ died to give us more
than we do without the encouragement of the Holy Spirit in our hearts to only
believe.
Mark 5:35-36 While he was still speaking, some came from
the ruler of the Synagogue’s house who said, “Your daughter is dead. Why trouble
the Teacher any further?” As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He
said to the ruler of the Synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
The prayer of faith must flow from a heart of faith that
refuses to let go of the belief that It’s amazing what faith can make; it’s
amazing what faith can do! Sickness, pain and the fear of death are faith-stealers.
We would not have been given the commandment by God to not be afraid, but to only
believe, if it was not necessary. God knows how difficult maintaining faith can
be in the face of sickness, pain, sorrow and difficulties. But God also knows
that He has generously given us the measure of faith so that we are able to
believe that this, too, shall pass.
Live with a continual and vibrant awareness of It’s
amazing what faith can do, and It’s amazing what faith can make! Face every
adverse circumstance boldly with that declaration. Believe beyond belief, be
fully convinced in your heart, that God is able to perform what He has
promised.
Prayer: Father, thank You for giving me a measure of Your
faith so that I can move mountains just like You and overcome in life. I have
seen and heard, of the amazing things faith can do, and the miracles that faith
can make. I want to live in that realm with You, Lord, in that place where, If I
would only believe, I would see the glory of God.
Comfort and heal my wounded heart, Holy Spirit, as I look
back on the times I thought You had not come through for me. I believe now that
You can make all things work together for my good, even the things I do not yet
understand. The Prayer of Faith works even when things don’t work out as
planned or hoped for. The Prayer of Faith works according to Your will and way
for those who would only believe. I believe, Lord. I believe in You.
It’s amazing what faith can make. It’s amazing what faith
can do. Thank You, Father, for this word to live by. In Jesus name I pray.
Amen.
