John 3:16-17 Many years ago, when my family and I were still resident in Johannesburg, I asked the Lord, as I usually do at the start of each New Year, what He wanted His people to hear and to know. His reply? Tell My people I love them! Needless to say, I was very disappointed with that answer. I asked Jesus, Why tell people what they already know? Between you and me, I wanted God to give me a profound word that would shake people and change minds, hearts and lives. Holy Spirit , though, was firm about what He wanted His people to hear.
