Maybe It's Time You Gave Up

Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19

I'm not trying to be negative, I'm not attempting to break you down or squash your dream, but Maybe It's Time You Gave Up? You had a dream, received a vision or prophecy, or you just knew in your heart that you had to do this thing for God. You have held on to the vision, the dream, or the prophecy. You have faithfully believed, but, if you had to tell the truth, nothing is happening and nothing has happened for a very long time! You thought, when God gave you the dream, the hope, the vision, that within a few months things would change, greater would come, you would see His hand of glory unfold over your life. But nothing has happened. Or maybe the change is so slow it's like watching paint dry! You have even asked yourself whether you had really heard from God and now the spirit of quit has attacked your once-confident resolve. 

Well, as I've said, I'm not trying to break you down but I agree, Maybe It Is Time You Gave Up!

You see, God has placed you where you are right now. It may be a tight, difficult and seemingly hopeless place, but you are where you are supposed to be. Only thing is, God might be trying to get your attention, to get you to give up the old way of doing things! Maybe God wants you to get bold and ask Him to show you New Things, to ask Him to show you the way He actually wants you to take! 

We get stuck in a rut because we try to get God's Best through old, tried, tired-and-tested ways! But you need to realize that God doesn't use religious traditions, the old ways or yesterdays bright ideas to accomplish New Things!

Our God is the Creator, after all! He likes fresh and new. I believe this word is for someone on this third day of God's New Year, 5783! Yes, you are in the right place. But, no, God doesn't want you to do things the old way, the way it has always been done! He wants you to ask Him to show you a new way so you can have fresh manna to give to those He will  be bringing across your path. 

Pray bold prayers today. Ask God to do a  New Thing in your life. Then do what the Holy Spirit is leading you do. And have faith that God is making a way in your wilderness! Soon you will see rivers of abundance and life flowing through your desert! 

Fear not! Believe only! Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths!
