I'm Taking Healing
He personally carried our sins in His body on the Cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By His wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24 NLT
You sneeze, feel an itch in your throat, or you wake up with a few body aches and pains. What do you say when that happens? Most people's first words are, I must be taking a cold, the flu or the virus. Or an old, familiar pain attacks your body. Do you proudly confess, My mom/ dad had this, too. This is in our family. I've had it for years! O well, I must be taking ill again.
Being proud of familial illnesses, weaknesses or poverty is not wise! We need to change our narrative. We must train our mouths not to speak the first thing that comes into our minds!
How about instead of saying I must be taking the flu or the virus when sneezing, itches, aches or pains attack your body. How about Confessing, I must be taking healing! when that happens. When fear and anxiety hit, how about not saying, I'm not going to make it. I think I'm losing my mind. This is it for me. How about saying, I must be taking God's Spirit, His love, His victory, His power and a sound mind!
We are so used to, and so busy, taking what the devil dishes out that we do not consider what God has already given us through Christ Jesus's sacrifice on the Cross. The Bible says that Jesus Himself bore our sins in His own Body on the Cross, so we need no longer carry the burden and punishment of sin. That illness, that trouble, is not God punishing you. Jesus took our sin. He also took every sickness and weakness of man and nailed it to The Cross in His own body thus giving us the victory over them.
When fears, anxieties, sickness, weakness or poverty come, do not get into agreement with them that you are doomed! Get into agreement with God and confess with your mouth through the storm, I am taking my healing and my joy! I am taking all that Jesus died to give me, and all He has is good for me. I am not taking the flu or depression or anything else that's bad for me. I must be taking healing!
